Playgroup Sessions
Marsden Pre-School Playgroup provides quality childcare for children aged between 2 and 5 years.
The Playgroup offers sessional care:-
- Monday to Friday mornings 8.45 – 11.30 am
- Lunch Club 11.30 am – 12.45 pm
- Monday to Thursday afternoons 12.45 – 3.30 pm
WHO CAN COME TO PLAYGROUP?
Children can start Playgroup at 24 months – children living in Marsden have priority over out of area children, but everyone is welcome!
WHEN ?
Every Morning between 8.45 and 11.30am and four afternoons a week (Monday to Thursday) between 12.45 and 3.30pm during term time.
Children are initially offered 2 sessions a week to allow them to settle in, sessions can then be increased at a later date availability dependant.
Your child may be offered more sessions if on the 2 year funding (please see FEES section below)
WHAT WE OFFER ?
We provide a safe, fun and stimulating environment for all children to enjoy a balanced variety of adult initiated activities and free play.
Our activities are planned around the children’s interests giving children the best possible start to their early education.
We provide a variety of healthy snacks available throughout every session consisting of wholemeal toast, cereal, fresh fruit and milk or water to drink.
Once children leave us to attend Marsden Nursery School we offer a “wrap around service” this allows children to attend Playgroup either before or after their Nursery session giving you full day care (8.45 – 3.30).

FEES ?
Playgroup requires a £5.00 enrolment fee
Playgroup sessions are £12.50 each
Playgroup accepts payment through the employment voucher schemes.
2 year funding:- Your child may be eligible for 15 hours a week free childcare provided by the Government. To check eligibility, and for more information, please https://www.gov.uk/help-with-childcare-costs/free-childcare-and-education-for-2-to-4-
We offer 30 hours free childcare for working parents of 3 & 4 year olds.

Our small team of excellent, highly qualified staff are dedicated to providing a warm, fun and educational experience for your children. All our staff are highly qualified in childcare and all hold current first aid qualifications.
